前一段时间在加拿大，倒是在电视上看了一些老片，其中不乏一些经典之作。最近也买了些碟，简单综述。Mr Smith Goes to Washington(1939)：非常出色的老电影，James Stewart的表演出神入化，把一个理想化的小人物演绎得近乎完美。情节上，虽显有些天真，但正是这种对于民主信仰的天真令人感动。The Man who shot Liberty Valance (1962)：John Wayne和James Stewart联合出演的西部片，情节引人入胜，剧情压力一直累积到最后的高潮。Lee Van Cleef在里面有个小反派角色，已然可以看到日后出演The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly的影子。United 93 (2006)：一部更具写实风格的描述9/11事件的电影。与名气更小的Flight 93相比，没有了角色的塑造和主动的煽情，也因此对我的感染力不那么强（我就是对煽情感冒。。。），不过仍不失为好电影。Thank you for Smoking (2006)：我经常对喜剧片不感冒，但是由于猜想这必然是讽刺大烟草公司的作品，因此买来一看。看完的感觉很好，有许多有趣的场景，也有些引发我思考的地方。不过总的说来这是部非常常规的电影（手法，情节），因此大概不会讨一部分人的喜好。A Scanner Darkly (2006)：我不是严肃科幻迷，因此这部影片有点不适合我。不过它奇特的制作还是比较吸引人的，只是情节上实在没有张力。
